In Memory of Ian McCaugherty

It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of our dear friend and fellow Locke House resident, Ian McCaugherty, on the 14th of February 2025. Ian will be fondly remembered by all of us at Locke House for his kindness, warmth, and the many conversations we shared.

Ian was a cherished brother to Leslie, Carol, Derek, Shirley, and Tara, as well as a beloved uncle and brother-in-law to Sandra, Clive, Joanne, and Michael. His presence will be greatly missed by his family and all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

In accordance with the family's wishes, Ian’s funeral service will be private. The family has kindly requested no flowers. Instead, donations in Ian’s memory may be made to Praxis Care (Portadown) via www.milnefuneralservices.co.uk/donate or by cheque payable to Praxis Care, c/o Milne Funeral Services, 57 Tandragee Road, Lurgan, BT66 8TL.

The information in this post was sourced from Funeral Times.

I attempted to make a donation, but the payment system or description appears to be incorrectly configured. I will inform the responsible persons at Locke House to look into this. Perhaps by the time you are reading this, the issue will already be resolved, and donations will be successfully processed.

Our thoughts are with Ian’s family and friends during this difficult time. He will always be remembered with love and respect by the Locke House community.

A Valentine’s Day to Remember at Zio

Valentine’s Day at Zio took an unexpected twist this year. Our celebratory dinner turned into an all-male gathering—Locke House ladies, where were you? We promise we weren’t that bad! 😉 The evening was nothing short of fantastic. We started with the "Seasonal Soup", a masterpiece of flavors, perfectly balanced and warming. Then came the burger—let’s just say it had an identity crisis, with flavors going in all directions, but it was undeniably filling. By the time I finished my ice cream dessert, I was completely satisfied. The highlight of the night? One of our brave diners absolutely demolished a 12 or 14-inch pizza all by himself. It wasn’t just eating—it was a full-on battle, a primal showdown between man and dough. We watched in awe as each slice disappeared, cheering him on like it was a championship event. Conversations flowed effortlessly throughout the night. With such a wealth of knowledge among us, no topic was left untouched—we could’ve probably sol...
