Bowling Night Recap – Strikes, Laughter, and a Few Twists

Not everyone who wanted to join was able to make it to last night’s bowling outing, so I’ll do my best to capture the atmosphere and key moments from the event. Armed with my noise-canceling headphones to shield myself from sudden loud sounds, I found myself momentarily shaken when a particularly sharp noise slipped through while I was speaking with the Air-Tastic staff in Craigavon about the payment process. As it turned out, the bill had been calculated for the group rather than individually, which didn’t quite align with my personal bookkeeping. By the time I had my proof of payment, till receipt printed, my ice cream had significantly melted—just the way I like it. I was also given the option to speak with the manager, who never showed up. Meanwhile, I was politely yet firmly reminded by our group leader that I was holding up the game and needed to roll the ball, twice, on two separate occasions 😊. Once the payment issue was sorted, I was able to fully immerse mys...

DROP-IN Recap & A New Addition to Gaming Night

Yesterday’s DROP-IN session at Locke House was a cozy and laid-back gathering. We sipped coffee, watched TV, and enjoyed the re-arranged Meeting Room furniture. The new layout? Both aesthetically pleasing and functionally sound—a solid improvement! On a personal note, I finally got myself a Nintendo Switch ! I spent some time putting together the console setup and dived straight into Minecraft’s survival world. Now, we officially have two Gaming Night  ( ⒼⒶⓂⒺ [CN9T] ) members with a Switch, and with Pokémon Legends: Z-A arriving in late 2025, the anticipation is real. Pokémon gaming nights are on the horizon! P.S. Lesson #38 : The Phantom End Time

Lesson #38: The Phantom End Time

Ah, the DROP-IN session. A free-flowing event with no officially documented ending time. Yet, our dear service provider was quite enthusiastic in pushing the narrative that the session’s conclusion was universally understood. However, according to the Locke House Activity Planner (12/03/2025) , no such ending time was ever listed. Moral of the Lesson: Before enforcing a rule, make sure it actually exists in a shared agreement. If an end time isn’t specified in official document s, aggressively asserting it does nothing but waste breath and annoy those who know better. Always assess the situation before jumping in too late. Stay sharp, stay informed, and keep the discussions flowing!

Pancake Day at Locke House – A Flipping Good Time!

Today at Locke House, we celebrated Pancake Day in the best way possible—by eating delicious, fluffy pancakes! The atmosphere was warm and lively, with everyone chatting and enjoying the treats. Personally, I only managed to grab one pancake (cue the sad face 😞), but even that single bite was worth it. The conversation flowed as freely as the syrup, and the company made the event even better. Coffee and tea were also available, making it the perfect cozy gathering. Oh, and once again, I completely forgot to take a picture. I have no idea how to remind myself to pull out the camera! 📸😅 All in all, it was a fantastic gathering filled with good food and even better company. Looking forward to the next excuse to make (and eat) more pancakes! 🥞✨
